Need help on rim decision?

They're 20" rims with tires 60% tread on tires. They're asking $400 do them at an autoshop since they came off a 2004 wrecked tahoe with front right damage. Rims have minor scratches they said. That's about all the info they have on them on the cite. Im planning on going and checking them out but I'm scared they'll be bent and I can't see it then a month later I'll have to replace one. I think I afoul offer them $300. What's you're guys opinion? I'm tight on money thats why I'm interested in these
