Nice guys few and far between...right?

Well, you are about to start high school. A lot of the guys you have seen are just boys. Really immature and stupid. In high school some will mature. Like this guy, who won't book you, he is a good guy and nice. A lot of people would get pissed at him if he "booked" you. Because you don't pick on a girl. A lot of guys would go after him. And if a guy did that to a girl a lot of guys would go after him. Because you don't treat people like that. It's not right. If you see it happen, help pick the books up. No one wants to get picked on, and people will think you are nice for helping. But just give it time. And ignore the dumb guys. A lot of these nice guys can be awkward and shy around your age. So just talk to people, and get to know them. Don't take any relationship seriously in high school. You are still really young. You've got so many years ahead of you. Just find nice people who are friendly and fun to hang out with. They are the people you will want to surround yourself with in your life! :) Just use your best judgement and be out going and friendly, if you do that, you will find out who is nice.
