The regress argument, if true, has some significant implications for both atheism and theism. Is this?

Being aware of some area where knowledge is not possible is not the same as having the knowledge one is missing in that area. Thus, the regress argument only seems to refute itself if one equivocates on what the word "know" is being applied to.
