I got a new Siamese Fighting Fish today but I don't know what to feed it?

A beta really requires a balanced diet of pellet or flake food and bloodworms and brine shrimp. It will make it just fine on pellet food though. You should try to get brine shrimp if your mom won't allow you to purchase bloodworms. But you should let her know that that is what this fish needs to stay healthy.
